What does the AC Performance Test include?
At Main Street Automotive we first remove all refrigerant from the vehicle, and then reinstalli the correct amount of refrigerant that the vehicle requires, UNLIKE most shops which do it based on pressure (which is the WRONG way). Why is that the wrong way? Because you can’t do the newer refrigerants by pressure, you HAVE to do it by the weight. You cannot accurately diagnose a problem with your vehicle’s AC system with a quick pressure check, which many local shops do in this area. We often see pressure readings come back correct BUT then discover the system is excessively low or high on refrigerant levels.

A danger of having low or high levels will cause the system to not properly cool.
